International Symposium on Computational Aesthetics
in Graphics, Visualization, and Imaging
7–9 May 2016 in Lisbon, Portugal
Collocated with Eurographics 2016
You are invited to participate in CAe 2016, the twelfth annual symposium on computational aesthetics, which will take place in Lisbon, Portugal, on 7–9 May 2016.
Computational Aesthetics bridges the analytic and synthetic by integrating aspects of computer science, philosophy, psychology, and the fine, applied & performing arts. It seeks to facilitate both the analysis and the augmentation of creative behaviours. CAe also investigates the creation of tools that can enhance the expressive power of the fine and applied arts and furthers our understanding of aesthetic evaluation, perception and meaning.
The conference brings together individuals with technical experience of developing computer based tools to solve aesthetic problems and people with artistic/design backgrounds who use these new tools.
New: This year, in addition to the normal CAe program, we are soliciting short papers that offer case studies of interdisciplinary practices and methods in computational aesthetics. Please see the Call for CAe Bridging papers.
